LS Electric completes ESS project in UK > 경제기사 | economics

South Korea’s LS Electric Co. announced Wednesday that it has completed its project to establish an energy storage system ESS power plant in Botley, the United Kingdom.

The company held a ceremony on Tuesday to mark the completion, which was attended by representatives from Korean Overseas Infrastructure amp; Urban Development Corporation KIND, Shinhan Asset Management, and Shinhan Bank.


LS Electric secured the 133.4 billion won $96.6 million ESS project in April 2023. The system will store electricity produced locally and supply it to National Grid’s transmission network, improving energy efficiency and stability.

Leveraging its expertise in smart energy projects, LS Electric managed the engineering, procurement, and construction EPC phases and will continue with operations and maintenance for the next 20 years.
