Hyundai Commercial Inc., a corporate financing provider under South Korea’s Hyundai Motor Group, has signed a memorandum of understanding MOU with HD Hyundai Construction Equipment Co. and MyCarAuction to form an online auction service for used equipment, the company said on Friday.

This agreement aims to create an online auction service that allows customers with used equipment easy and safe access to auctions. The used equipment auction market is currently not active, as auctions are held offline and irregularly.


The three companies expect that the online auction service will help to revitalize the used equipment trading market.

Under the agreement, Hyundai Commercial will build the infrastructure for the online auction service and provide customer support, including expanding its usage by integrating with ‘GoTruck,’ a mobile app for the company’s commercial vehicle drivers. HD Hyundai Construction Equipment will supply used equipment, while MyCarAuction will operate the auction system.

“Customers can now sell their used equipment easily and safely with our online auction service,” a Hyundai Commercial official said.
