Naver Corp. has launched a new AI-driven shopping application that provides personalized product recommendations, setting the stage for direct competition with Coupang Inc.

On Wednesday, Naver announced that the Android version of its Naver Plus Store is now available, with an iOS version coming soon.


The app is powered by Naver’s proprietary AI model, HyperCLOVA X, which rapidly analyzes vast amounts of product data and tailors recommendations based on user preferences, purchase history, browsing context, and intent to assist in shopping decisions.

“With AI-powered recommendations, users can quickly discover products they are interested in, while sellers can enhance their marketing strategies by targeting high-potential buyers more effectively,” said a Naver official.

Alongside the app launch, Naver has rebranded its delivery service from Naver Arrival Guarantee to Naver Delivery N Delivery, introducing more refined delivery options, including same-day, next-day, Sunday, and scheduled deliveries to enhance logistics competitiveness.

New features such as AI Shopping Guide and Discover have also been introduced.

The AI Shopping Guide currently assists users in choosing laptops optimized for different needs, such as design, portability, office use, gaming, and studying.

Naver plans to expand this feature to smartphones, refrigerators, and air conditioners.

The Discover function presents short-form videos showcasing trending products and can be accessed through the app’s Discover tab at the bottom.

Industry experts anticipate that Naver’s AI shopping app and enhanced delivery services will further intensify competition in the e-commerce sector.

“The key question is whether Naver will take market share from competitors or expand the overall market itself,” said an industry insider.
