The Seoul Money Show 2024, the largest financial fair in South Korea as well as Asia, will kick off in May 2024 with enhanced seminars on investment and customized content.

The annual Seoul Money Show, hosted by Maeil Business Newspaper, will take place from May 9th to 11th at the Convention amp; Exhibition Center COEX in southern Seoul. This year‘s theme is “All About Investment” to reflect the growing interest in investment in the country, particularly among younger generations.

The event aims to provide customized content for various audience groups from beginners to advanced investors as well as young professionals to middle-aged and elderly individuals.

The Seoul Money Show also increased the number of its flagship investment seminars for its 2024 edition. While there were three seminars in the past, there will be four in 2024, and around a 30 percent increase in the number of seminars for a total of 47.

Over 70 experts will share their expertise in various fields including investment strategies, real estate, domestic and international stocks, bonds, tax savings, entrepreneurship, virtual assets, retirement planning, credit management, and fraud prevention. There will be special seminars for intermediate financial investors in particular and above as well as lectures for young people, including beginners and first-time investors.

On the opening day, Standard Chartered Group Global Chief Investment Officer Steve Brice will deliver a presentation on the 2024 global economic outlook and investment trends, with simultaneous interpretation provided.

There will also be three days of sessions where private bankers specializing in advising clients on asset allocation will provide a practical investment tip each day. Experts from major Korean commercial banks, such as Shinhan, NH Nonghyup, and Hana Bank, will discuss real estate market trends and investment strategies on the opening day, with those from Standard Chartered Bank Korea, Woori Bank, and Shinhan Bank talking about stocks and funds the day after.

Top Korean real estate experts, including Park Hap-soo from Konkuk University’s Graduate School of Real Estate Studies, Lee Sang-woo from InvAID Investment Advisory, and Ko Jun-seok from Sangnam Institute of Management at Yonsei University, will also give lectures covering various topics including reconstruction, redevelopment, and income-generating real estate.

The event will also feature stock forecasts from top Korean analysts, with analysts from EBest Investment amp; Securities Co., Meritz Securities Co., and Daishin Securities Co. among others introducing promising stocks in fields such as automobiles, autonomous driving, secondary batteries, pharmaceuticals, and biotechnology on the first day. Various seminars will also take place on the second and third days, with topics including investment guides for retail investors, value investing, and market outlook.

Experts and popular influencers, including MinKi Unnie and Ho-ho Yang, will also provide practical investment tips for ordinary office workers.

There will also be lectures on relevant investment tips on the second day in reflection of the recent fluctuations in exchange rates and surges in gold prices.

A ‘Job School’ will also be held for university students aspiring to work in the financial sector where HR general managers from major Korean commercial banks such as KB Kookmin Bank as well as the state-run Korea Development Bank and the Export#x2013;Import Bank of Korea will be present.

Another key feature of the Seoul Money Show is the exhibition. More than 100 companies, including those from the finance, securities, and real estate sectors, as well as fintech and startups, will set up 240 booths to offer a wide range of financial products and investment information.
